Posterity Health Expands Hormone Management Program Across the US: Helping Every Male Feel Their Best

DENVER–(BUSINESS WIRE)–In recognition of Men’s Health Month, Posterity Health, the Center of Excellence for Male Care, proudly announces the launch of its innovative Hormone Management Program. The new service is focused on using best practice clinical protocols to manage males with Low-T.

Low testosterone (Low-T) is a common condition for many American males. Data suggests that over 3 million men in the US suffer from a testosterone deficiency and only 32% will seek treatment. If left untreated, Low-T can cause many unpleasant symptoms including fatigue, poor concentration and erectile dysfunction. These deficiencies may also be a marker for male infertility issues.

A recent report (JAMA Internal Medicine 2022) highlights that while access to care has expanded through direct-to-consumer platforms, the care being provided is oftentimes unnecessary or even inappropriate. The report found that 6 out of 7 providers offered hormone therapy (testosterone) when the male patient did not have Low-T. Less than 50% of the patients were counseled on the fertility risks associated with testosterone use, an alarming statistic since testosterone use stops sperm production leading to infertility. And in some cases, males were treated by nonmedically licensed individuals with unclear oversight.

“Up to 40% of men are impacted by Low Testosterone. Fatigue, poor concentration, and a reduced sex drive are a few of the most common symptoms. An incredibly rewarding part of my practice is helping these males diagnose their hormone deficiency so they can see an immediate and dramatic change in their overall health and functioning,” says Dr Jason Kovac, Regional Medical Director, Posterity Health.

The Posterity Health Male Management Platform (MMP) combines innovative technology, expert care teams and AI driven clinical protocols to drive personalized end-to-end male care. The MMP will be used to confirm that males in the program receive evidence-based care, the right medication and the ongoing support required to feel their best. The program boasts a hybrid model which allows males to receive care at the local Posterity Health office or from the comfort of their own home. Fellowship-trained Reproductive Urologists identify and improve testosterone and other common hormone deficiencies. Posterity Health experts address symptoms with various low testosterone treatments and therapies personalized to each patient’s needs.

“Our mission is to meet our patients where they are in their life journey and provide them with the support and expertise needed to achieve their health goals,” added Dr. Josh Halpern, Chief Scientific Officer at Posterity Health. “Whether it’s optimizing fertility status or addressing concerns about testosterone treatments, Posterity Health is committed to delivering high impact, personalized solutions that follow clinical best practice and focus on the overall health and well-being of each male.”

“We are thrilled to introduce the Posterity Health Hormone Management Program. The service expansion reinforces our commitment to making male health care more accessible,” said Pam Pure, Founder and CEO at Posterity Health. “Our goal is to make it easy for males who experience Low-T symptoms to receive expert care quickly, with real-time access to expert reproductive urologists.”
