Sperm Cryopreservation in Indiana

Posterity Health can help preserve your fertility status for years to come by helping you freeze sperm in Indiana.

Keep The Option Open & Freeze Your Sperm in Indiana

Are you interested in having kids in the future? Then it’s best to explore your options for sperm cryopreservation sooner rather than later. It’s one of the best ways to preserve your future fertility status, especially if there are certain factors that could negatively impact your fertility. At Posterity Health, we will provide the resources to safely freeze sperm in Indiana at your convenience.

Our male fertility specialists will guide you through every step of the cryopreservation process to help ensure you get the best possible outcome.

Is It a Good Idea to Freeze Your Sperm in Indiana?

Absolutely! If you want to preserve your fertility, then it’s a good idea to freeze your sperm today. However, if you fall under one of the following categories, fertility preservation should be your top priority:

  • Age (Over 35) – Similar to how females enter menopause, you can expect your sperm quality to decline at age 40. Poor sperm quality can lead to poor fertility outcomes.
  • Cancer – Several cancer treatments and procedures can negatively impact your fertility status, so gain peace of mind by deciding to freeze sperm near you.
  • Gender-affirming therapy – Before you undergo hormone therapies or other surgeries, freeze some sperm in advance to keep the door open for biological children.

That said, it’s a good idea for just about any male to freeze sperm in Indiana.

Our Fertility Preservation Service: What Is Included?

We want to provide the best possible outcomes for your future fertility. That’s why our sperm cryopreservation service includes a lot more than just freezing and storing your specimen.

Posterity Health provides a safe, convenient, and budget-friendly sperm preservation package that’s designed to be insightful, reliable, and above all else, personalized. It includes three important services:

  1. Fertility Preservation Introduction
  2. Sample Collection, Evaluation, & Testing
  3. A Fertility Preservation Review

Sperm Preservation Introduction

First, our male fertility specialists will need to gather some information about you and your story. We begin every sperm cryopreservation service with a 30-minute Fertility Preservation Introduction via telehealth. This provides an opportunity for your male fertility specialist to ask questions, learn about your long-term fertility goals, and how to best support your situation. To ensure you and your partner are on the same page at every step of the process, we encourage both partners to join this telehealth introduction.

We also use this consultation as an opportunity to provide education on everything you need to know about freezing sperm in Indiana. You’ll learn about:

  • The entire sperm preservation process (from testing to freezing, thawing, and more)
  • Why it’s a good idea for certain individuals to store multiple samples of sperm
  • How you can use your cryopreserved sperm in the future (e.g., intrauterine insemination (IUI), in vitro fertilization (IVF), surrogacy, etc.)

Testing and Freezing Your Sperm

After the telehealth appointment, Posterity Health will mail an at-home kit to you for testing your sperm and freezing it.

In order to successfully freeze sperm in Indiana, it’s important to evaluate each semen sample from our patients and learn if everything looks good for future use. We will analyze your semen with a state-of-the-art process to gather accurate quantitative data and functional information about your sample.

At our partner lab, we will then freeze your sperm, and soon after, thaw a small portion of your deposit. Known as the “freeze-thaw” test, this process allows us to learn how your sperm will survive and how your sample can be used in the future. This test additionally informs us if we need to account for and store additional sperm samples for you. If everything looks good, we will move forward with our secure storage process.

In your Fertility Preservation package, you will receive 1 at-home kit and 1 year of storage at our partner’s FDA-approved storage site. We may apply discounts for candidates who require additional kits for more cycles of freezing.

Will My Frozen Sperm Be Safe?

Our male fertility preservation process is 100% safe and non-invasive, so you can have peace of mind about your future fertility status. Plus, we make it easy to freeze sperm near you thanks to our at-home collection kits.

Many patients are curious about the freeze-thaw test and why we conduct it. This assessment is the only way to successfully understand how your sperm responds to the freezing process and if more samples will be needed to meet your fertility goals.

Your Follow-Up Review Appointment

At Posterity Health, we share the same goal as you: to help you and your partner get pregnant when you’re both ready. As such, we always conclude every male’s fertility cryopreservation experience with a follow-up telehealth appointment with a male fertility specialist (likely the same physician from your initial consultation).

This 30-minute telehealth review includes a comprehensive analysis of your semen test results and an in-depth review of your freeze-thaw test. These insights will help you learn more about your future fertility status. It’s possible, for example, that your semen analysis will be flagged as “abnormal.” If that was the case, Posterity Health will work closely with you to determine the cause(s) of those results and create a custom treatment plan to enhance your sperm health in the short- and long-term. We will even facilitate the freezing of additional sperm samples to ensure you have peace of mind about your ability to have kids when the time comes.

As the final step of your review, we’ll provide expert fertility recommendations on how to improve and support your overall fertility and future plans.
